Bideford stayed on course for the play-offs with a workmanlike 22-12 win. at home. Wellington were lively and mobile – and a much different side from the one Bideford defeated 22-8 earlier in the season. And it was Wellington who went ahead with a chip-chase try from left wing Ben Gamlin.
Bideford leveled with a try from distance by full-back Adam Crouch. Pat Sanders kicked the goal for the lead. Sanders added a penalty before the break for a 10-5 home lead.
Crouch scored a carbon-copy try early in the second half, only this time the conversion failed. Wellington came back with a try from a line-out claimed by Mickey Norman.
Bideford needed a score to be safe and got it when John Mock rolled over the line in a maul. Sanders converted.
