Wilkie May & Tuckwood has moved – but only next door! The estate agency has taken over the former Carly Press premises in the High Street, next to their original office. Branch Partner Symon Jeffrey explained: “This was a wonderful opportunity to expand the business as the premises offer far more space and three extensive window displays.”
“The agency has become much more instant and interactive in communication between agent, client and buyer and our office upgrades reflect this,” he added. “We now have a very spacious, welcoming reception area with large property displays and where assistance is readily available from well trained and helpful staff. We can offer clients cutting-edge technology as we have installed multimedia screens, LED A3 window displays and instant network linkage to our various websites – Rightmove, On The Market and Wilkie.co.uk.”
“Lettings are an important part of our business and we now have a dedicated lettings desk in the office. We also have an in-house mortgage advisor to assist all clients from first-time buyers and investors to those just wanting to move house.”
Commenting on current trends Symon said, “The housing market is gaining traction with prices steady here in Wellington. Interest rates remain low with some great mortgage deals available. Pension reforms and first-time buyers coming into the market bode well for anyone wanting to buy or sell. Wellington is a fabulous place to live with a range of independent shops and large national stores such as Asda and Waitrose. Proximity to the M5 is key to the success of sustainable growth in the town and its expanding commercial sectors at Chelston and Westpark.”
“Although it’s sometimes contentious, new homes continue to be built and national house builders such as Wain Homes, Persimmon, Bloor, McCarthy & Stone report strong sales. CG Fry & Son and Strongvox are looking to start building in due course which will bring prosperity to the town – as long as the infrastructure is well thought out.”
“In summary, it’s an interesting and exciting time for Wellington as it keeps pace with other neighbouring towns. Here at Wilkie May & Tuckwood we are ready for that. We would like to say thank you to everyone who has helped during the lead-up to the move, including the staff who have been fantastic and so supportive.”
