Friday sees a bluegrass double-bill at the Beambridge Inn with Newcastle’s very own The Often Herd, currently touring their debut album. The Often Herd comprise some of the players from The Kentucky Cow Tippers, who were guests at The Beambridge a few years ago.
Their top-notch playing and singing has vowed audiences all over UK, and Thunderbridge Bluegrass Boys are thrilled to be opening for them on 9th March. Thunderbridge’s Nick Girone-Maddocks said “We have made some great friends since Thunderbridge formed 13 years ago, and The Often Herd are a brilliant example of just what talent is out there”.
The concerts always get fantastic support from a regular and committed audience, but Nick added “We’d love to spread the word further and see some new faces – we think many people really don’t know what they’re missing!”.
The other shows booked in over the next few months are June 20th – G-Runs n Roses, a high-octane bluegrass band from Czechoslovakia, and then on July 3rd, ace entertainer and singer/songwriter Jonathan Byrd will be on tour from Carolina.
Tickets for each show are just £12.00 each, but a Special Offer ticket for all three shows is just £25.00! Tickets are available from The Venue, from Gibbins Richards office in Wellington High Street and online from www.thunderbridgebluegrass.uk
