Thunderbridge Bluegrass Band are debuting new songs at a local gig this weeknd and the band’s special guests for the evening are award-winning Cardboard Fox, a quartet who have forged a specific blend of folk and bluegrass music and are also touring their new album ‘Out of Mind’. Featuring the talents of nationally-renowned The Carrivick Sisters, Wellington is the second date of the band’s UK tour.
TBB have been busy in the recording studio putting together their 6th album. The band are now ready to debut some of the new songs. A full set featuring new songs and some old classics will be played live, around one microphone in true Thunderbridge style at the Beambridge Inn.
Singer, songwriter and guitar player Nick Girone-Maddocks said “These new songs are excellent – among the best I’ve ever written and certainly more progressive than the band has ever been”. “There’s also song contributions from fiddle player Matt, and everyone’s input into the production of the songs has been fantastic. We just can’t wait to play them to a live audience!”
So, if fiddles, banjos, close harmonies and good ol’ foot tapping music is your thing – get down to The Beambridge for this next Bluegrass Night, where the Thunderbridge Boys promise you won’t be disappointed! Doors 6:30, Showtime 7:30pm.
