Wellington dementia awareness charity, Reminiscence Learning, is encouraging local businesses to take part a ‘Red and Yellow Event’ during Dementia Awareness Week starting on Monday 15th May.
Each red and yellow themed event is to raise funds for the business to ‘buy’ a single piece of a 100 piece giant jigsaw. Representatives from the 100 businesses involved will then construct the whole jigsaw at 12 noon in the Orchard Centre, Taunton on Friday 19th May. The completed jigsaw is to display a dementia awareness message.
Reminiscence Learning Manager, Emma Green said: “Here at Reminiscence Learning we are always coming up with new and innovative ways to spread the dementia awareness message and to raise funds to ensure the continuation of our community projects for people with dementia and their carers.
“Any type of event can be held to raise funds for the charity. For more information call 01823 323752 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.”
