The award-winning Wellington Theatre Company is looking for talented actors for the roles of Demetrius and Oberon for its production of Shakespeare’s ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream’ which will be on stage at Wellington Arts Centre from 6 to 9 June 2018.
Director Christine Matravers, fresh from her success as chief Muse in Wellington Pantomime Group’s ‘Hercules, the Pantomime’ at The Wellesley, is holding a read-through at 7pm on 6th February at Wellington Arts Centre for anyone who may be interested. Wellington Theatre Company has established a reputation for high-quality drama in recent years, including ‘Calendar Girls’ and ‘Blue Remembered Hills’, and last year Rachell Buttell won a prestigious Somerset Federation of Drama Award for her direction of ‘Steel Magnolias’.
Wellington Operatic Society is also inviting anyone who might be interested in taking part in its next production of the musical ‘Happy Days’, particularly those aged between 16 and 30 though there are parts for all ages (16+).
