Pupils in Reception class at St John’s Church of England Primary School in Wellington have a brand new mud kitchen where they can practice their ‘cooking’ skills. Kitchen craft is likely to be high on the curriculum agenda from now on.
St John’s Headmaster Gareth Jones said, “The school is very fortunate to have a talented teaching assistant, Mr Alan Mitchell, who designed and built the superb resource. Thank you Mr Mitchell from all the children, staff and parents at St.John’s.”
Children starting at St John’s in September attended a play morning at the school with their parents and pre-schools recently. The children were able to play with a variety of toys and take part in a range of activities. Each child received a ‘goody bag’ for attending the morning.
