Wellington offers eggceptional opportunities for egg-hunters of all ages throughout the week and over the Easter weekend.
Wellesley Park Preschool Egg Hunt around Wellington Park continues until 17 April. Maps are available from Wellington Sports Centre. The eggs have all been decorated by the school’s pupils and each egg contains a code to be cracked.
The Great Nynehead Court Easter Egg Hunt opens on Wednesday 12 April and runs every day until Easter Sunday from 11am to 4pm. It takes hunters through the home’s magnificent grounds and sets them a challenge to find 35 eggs, some of which include letters which make a secret word.
Bouncy Bear Childcare are organising an Easter Fun Day on Saturday 15 April at St John’s Church of England Primary School, Wellington, from 10:00 till 14:00pm.
The event is in support of the Madagascar 10 – Court Fields School children who are raising funds for their expedition to help with local community projects in Madagascar in 2018. This is just one of the Madagascar 10’s fundraising events in the local community.
The programme includes donkey rides, face-painting, a chance to meet an Easter Bunny, an Easter Egg Trail, Easter biscuit-decorating, fun dance sessions, glitter tattoos and arts and crafts stalls. The first 50 children through the gate will receive a FREE chocolate Easter lolly. Entry is £1.50 for adults and 50p for children. Under 1s are free. On Sunday 16 April – Easter Sunday – the Basins’ Volunteer Group are hosting an Easter Egg Hunt and Easter Bonnet Competition at Wellington Rugby Club at 2pm. Entry is £1. The hunt will take place outside if the weather is fine.
