If you enjoy a spot of ferret racing –and who doesn’t? – get along to Nynehead village hall next Saturday evening from 7pm when some of the fastest examples of these little critters will be strutting their stuff.
Next day is the annual Nynehead Ferret Show with fanciers coming from as far away as the Midlands to show off their pets and hunting companions. Organiser chris Potter says: “Starts at 11am…to be held at Nynehead Club, TA21 0BS.. Full ferret show.. Albino, polecat, silvers, sandy, coloured, pairs, working, veteran, rescue and disabled classes this year!!!
“ A very well attended show last year means that this year there are extra classes to make the show even bigger!! There will be various other things going on as well… If you’re a net-maker then come and have a look at agouti nets ran by Nigel kemp…
“All your twine and rings for net making…We have various jewellery being sold at the show to and ferret hammocks.. Plus as it was such a big hit at my show last year..” Pass it on “will be at my show to… They were great with the kids last yr!!
