Welliestock, the brand new Music Festival taking place in Wellington on Saturday, July 5th is delighted to announce its stunning line up, featuring a huge variety of acts and genres from pop to reggae to rock to samba to classical to dance to folk.
As a group of musicians from within Wellington, we set ourselves the goal of putting together the best festival line up possible that would attract a large audience to the area, offer a wide variety of music for everyone and create a very special event that will hopefully be the first of many WELLIESTOCK festivals, showcasing the strength of the fantastic music scene we have in our town and surrounding areas We are proud to announce that joining our headline act FILTA, will be Crow Dawn, Blue Room Baboons, Jon Maybey, Ryan Hawkings, Jess Handley, 3 Bridges 3, Tobias Faulkner, Finn Askew, Cross Border, Hundred Faces, Grouvecat, Fools and Horses, Dyme, Last One Home, Heatwave Samba, Wellesley Park School Choir, Jubilee Park, Hana, Retro and Table for 5.
Alongside the music festival, there will be a large VolksWagen Show and Shine featuring a range of fantastic VW machines. This event is open to the public so anyone wishing to exhibit their VW can do so. There are also a whole host of craft and food stalls, activities for the families, bouncy castles, classic car and sports car show , making Welliestock a great day out alongside being a wonderful music festival.
We have teamed up with Wellington BMX Track to raise awareness and funds for the track which has had a lot of work completed on it recently. The track is a wonderful asset to have in our town and by teaming up with the local BMX community, we are hoping that the music/vw/bmx team can make a huge difference and provide a fantastic track for the youth of Wellington to enjoy.
On the day, there will be a procession through Wellington at 10am by all of the VW campers/cars and vans, making their way from Rockwell Green, through the town then up to Welliestock. There will also be a large BMX gathering at 2.30pm in front of the Welliestock Music Marquee to help raise awareness for the track.
It has been decided that we are able to allow under 16s into the music marquee for free, with tickets for over 16s costing £5 for the whole event. It is free to visit all the stalls and enjoy the family activities.
Tickets are available from Mad Dog and Cloud 9 from May 3rd.
The doors will open at 11am with the first artist on stage from 11.30am. The music will finish at 11pm, following a headline set by FILTA. For more information on Welliestock, please visit:
