Businesses spanning the Somerset and Devon border will be able to network for free thanks to an initiative between the Federation of Small Businesses (FSB) and the Wellington Business Association.
“The FSB hold monthly networking events and have joined forces with Wellington Business Association to overcome the county barrier that can keep businesses separated by the vagaries of their postcode,” said Steve Lodge, of the Oxygen Agency, who is also secretary of the Mid Devon FSB. “We’d like to invite any regional business people to come and meet other likeminded businesses in Wellington, and they don’t have to be members of either organisation.”
Ian Stock, director of 3 Spheres Marketing and Chairman of Wellington Business Association, said: “This is a great opportunity for us help forge bonds between local businesses. We are being pro-active in the way we promote the benefits of Wellington businesses in the South West, and I hope that they will see the value in this excellent marketing opportunity.”
The event is being hosted by Blackdown Garden Centre in their restaurant, and free tea, coffee and croissants will be available, as well as a low-cost full English breakfast if required.
