Wellington fencer Jessica Gundry won gold at the British Youth Championships in Sheffield to become the British U18 Girls Epee Champion.
Eight young fencers from Wellington Swords travelled north to represent the South West over the bank holiday weekend.
Jessica won all six of her 1st round poule fights to be seeded N0.1 overall, thus winning a bye to the last 16 where she beat Charlotte Homan (Southern) 15-2 going on to beat Witt Kegal (London) 15-10, Katie Griffin (southern) 15-6 and then Sadie Greetham (Yorkshire) 15-12 in an exciting final.
