Christmas lights dazzle the town this Saturday, with a celebration and ceremony beginning at 4pm. The start of the festive season in Wellington will be marked with performances from the Wellington Majorettes, award-winning local singers Christina Green and Charles Dyke and pupils from St John’s School.
The evening will also feature displays from the emergency services, as well as a children’s roundabout and the Christmas Message. The Celebration of Light will be taking place in the Peace Garden behind the Quaker meeting house in High Street as well – a great sight for those coming to the event.
