Lottie Radford, a former Court Fields School pupil from Wellington, has been offered a place at Queens College, Oxford, to study History and English. Valeria Samsonova, from Wellington School, has an offer to take Natural Sciences at Newnham College, Cambridge. Lottie and Valeria are two out of 10 sixth-form students from Richard Huish to be offered a place at either Oxford or Cambridge universities for the coming year.
Principal John Abbott commented: “We are extremely proud of what these students have achieved in a climate of increasing competition and with the added pressure of entrance exams and an intensive interview process. They have progressed to Huish from a diverse range of secondary schools and their success is down to their hard work and the commitment from specialist support tutors at Huish who ensure all students achieve beyond what they might expect.”
