Almost six months after Wellington man Paul Hyam went missing from home, his body has been found by a member of the public in woodland near the Monument.
He was last seen at his home on Friday, August 26 2016. His disappearance was said to be out of character and prompted widespread public appeals for information.
According to police, Mr Hyam’s death is not being treated as suspicious and a Coroner’s report is being prepared.
DI Angela Burtonwood said, “I would like to take this opportunity to thank communities in the Avon and Somerset and Devon areas who helped in sharing our appeals to find Paul. We were inundated with support from local people and businesses and it was hugely appreciated. Our thoughts are now with Mr Hyam’s family”
