Kevin Fuller, owner of Fuller Stuff, has branched out from an already varied career to open Fuller Stuff on the site of the Old Dairy behind Wellington Fire Station. The premises have been empty since the closure of P & L Building Supplies last year. Now Fuller Stuff is, literally, full of stuff – antiques, bric-a-brac and good quality second-hand furniture.
The new tenant has brought experience of all kinds to the business: “I’ve been in barn renovation, house clearance, buying and selling second-hand furniture and I’ve worked for Taunton Deane Housing Association moving furniture for them as well as for Taunton Deane Gardens Association. This is a new venture for me. I’ve taken a five-year lease on the building so I’m looking quite far ahead with this business. It’s good to see a plot like this coming back into use. We looked around the town for a suitable location and this was ideal, right next to North Street Car Park.”
With Steptoes taking over the old Town Hall on a short lease and Fuller Stuff opening at The Old Dairy, two more empty sites have been brought back into use which is good news for the town – and for those looking for good-quality, second-hand bargains.
