More than 150 children and their families tucked into a feast of home-made cakes and fresh fruit and enjoyed the entertainment and craft stalls laid on. Special thanks to Macs wholesale market in Bristol for supplying the fruit and to Churches Together who provided refreshments.
Council staff were joined by colleagues from Tone Leisure, the Wellington Getset team and representatives from Knightstone Housing.
It was the first in a series of summer events planned in Wellington and got a hearty thumbs-up from all involved. Next week’s Wacky Wednesday event is being held at Cades Farm.
