More sausage victories for the Potter family. Chris Potter, son of big Tim, has just won a major competition with a new pork, smoked bacon and tomato sausage. Last month his recipe for a sage and cranberry sausage, won the silver medal at the South West round of a national competition for the most innovative banger. The finals will be in London in the New Year. Meanwhile Tim Potter reckons this could be the family butcher’s busiest ever Christmas with nearly 700 pre-orders for turkeys, geese and joints of beef and ham.
