Big crowds of parents, families and carers turned out in support of Rockwell Green Primary School PTA’s Christmas Fair on Friday 8 December. PTA Chair Emma Clements said she hoped the Fair would raise “about £1,000” and all proceeds will be used to support the school.
The school hall was packed with entertainment from the school choir sporting an array of Christmas knitwear, refreshments and stalls including a raffle with prizes donated by local companies. Wellington Mayor Gary James and his wife were there too to support the school, its staff and PTA.
Christmas-themed games imaginatively devised and operated by pupils overflowed into the classrooms and the willingness of families to give their support and encouragement to them was clearly in evidence.
