Wellesley Park Primary School’s PTA waved off Year 6 leavers with a Beach Party on Saturday 15 July.
Bondi was just a little too far to go so PTA Chair Hannah Eveleigh and her team brought along to the school a host of beachy games and activities for the leavers – including inflatables, refreshments that would not look amiss on a Caribbean shore, a bouncy castle, surfing videos, limbo, quoits, table tennis and even a couple of vintage cars complete with surf boards.
The leavers were welcomed along a red carpet bordered with all their names on stars and were invited to paint their names and images on large pebbles to be ‘planted’ in the school grounds to provide a permanent record.
This is the last of the PTA’s busy schedule of activities for the school year. Their Cake Sale raised £180 for the Bradley Lowery Foundation which provides funds for research into neuroblastoma and the Summer Fair raised nearly £2,000 for equipment for the school.
