SheppyFest at Sheppy’s Cider Farm on the A38 just outside Wellington on Saturday 2nd September offers families and music fans a day of fine entertainment – and fine weather is forecast too.
Music starts at 12 noon with Apple FM who will compere the whole event and the first live band is on stage from 1pm. The line-up features solo artist Ben Maggs and 5 bands – Hundred Faces, Leylines, Filta, The Carnabys andFheadline act Hoosiers whose set will be on stage from 11pm to 11.45pm. Selecting musicians from the local area showcases the talent to be found in West Country music.
There’s lots planned for children – face-painting, a bouncy castle, balloon modelling, a magic show and a disco from 12 noon to 6pm. Food from a range of vans and outlets is available throughout the festival. Visitors are asked to not bring their own food and drink onto the event site.
The site at Sheppy’s Cider Farm will be open from 11am onwards for campers. There’s some space for campervans but it’s limited and there are no electrical hook-ups available.
With the Eat Wellington Food Festival filling the streets of Wellington on the same day, huge numbers of visitors from around the South West are expected in the local area.
