Re-born Nineties band Last Great Dreamers play the last gig of their UK tour at the Beambridge Inn later this month. Because the co-owner of Paprika gift shop Slyder Smith has another life as LGD guitarist.
It’s been a very busy couple of years for the glam-tinged Last Great Dreamers; in 2014 they staged a fabulous comeback releasing an album of rarities, the critically acclaimed ‘Crash Landing In Teenage Heaven’ and have since in 2015 toured the UK with Runaway’s singer Cherie Currie & in 2016 opened for bands such as The Darkness, Terrorvision, Hey Hello, The Proclaimers & Tigertailz and released 2 brand new singles ‘Dope School’, & ‘Glitterball Apocalypse’ both achieving no.1 status on the TBFM radio network charts.
This time they venture out on a 12 date UK headline tour to promote their brand new album Transmissions From Oblivion. This is the band’s third album & the first all-new set of recordings since the mid-nineties – with rave reviews already starting to come.
Essential Rock Reviews said… “Transmissions From Oblivion is quite simply wonderful. It impressively merges styles from the band’s younger days to create a contemporary gem full of tracks which will appeal to many and will sound pretty awesome live.”
Last Great Dreamers play Wellington Beambridge on Saturday 15th October; tickets are available from the Beambridge, from Paprika & online at wegottickets.com
Transmissions From Oblivion by Last Great Dreamers is released on 30th September 2016 & will be available on CD, vinyl & download.
