Wellington footballer Tim Legg is one of many sportsmen helping SOS Kit Aid, who recycle and redistribute second hand kit to needy young and old teams in the UK and other countries.
Richard Huish College has donated four large bags packed with surplus football and basketball kit to SOS Kit Aid. Tim Legg, College Sport Maker and Exeter City FC Youth Squad coach, is a former Huish student and handed over his old no.4 football shirt that he wore when he was studying there eight years ago.
He said: “My old football shirt served me well during my time at Huish so I hope it will now be treasured by someone else who really needs it to be able to take part in sport.”
SOS Kit Aid make a positive and tangible impact on children’s lives by giving them the chance to participate in sporting activities, promote social inclusion and protect the environment and have redistributed over £3.5 million worth of kit since 2001.
