Mounts Vets are planning to build seven new terraced houses fronting on to Lancer Court, building them on the car park currently used by the practice and its customers.
In addition, the existing vet’s Grade II building with consulting rooms, surgeries and offices will be converted into five flats. Both projects are subject to obtaining the usual planning permission.
This major town centre residential development is possible because the practice is expanding and moving to a purpose-built veterinary hospital on the edge of the Cades Farm estate. If the new building stays on schedule the practice aims to move in the autumn.
