Wetherspoons has revealed detailed plans for its new pub in Wellington’s old Town Hall. They will use the ground floor as a bar/restaurant with seats for 108 customers, with a further six tables in an outdoor “beer garden” area adjoining the Cornhill side entrance.
The main entrance will be on the High St , through the shop that is currently the Africa Corner. The kitchen will be housed where the current kebab takeaway operates, with the pub’s toilets in the lower ground floor where an electrical retailer used to trade – opposite King’s Cycles.
The plans will make it by far the biggest pub in Wellington, although the first floor accountants will not be affected by Wetherspoon’s plans.
Taunton planners aim to make a decision by July 2nd, with the public able to send in comments at email@example.com Ref 43/14/0049 by June 9th.
