Avon and Somerset Police have appealed for witnesses following the fatal accident on the A38 at Whiteball just after midnight on Sunday 23 July.
Two vehicles were involved in the collision and the driver and passenger of one of the vehicles died at the scene. The driver of the second car suffered minor injuries.
The two fatalities are reported to be young men – the 20 year old driver of one car and his 23 year old passenger.
This is the latest in a series of accidents on the notorious stretch of the A38 just outside Wellington. Almost a year ago on 27 July 2016 five people were taken to hospital with ‘life-changing injuries’ after an accident involving 2 cars at Whiteball.
Anyone with any information about the accident should call Avon and Somerset’s Collision Investigation Unit on 101 and give the call handler the reference number 148/17.
