This year’s Wellington Carnival is hanging in the balance.
Organisers say that unless more marshals can be found, the parade may not go ahead on Saturday, September 26th.
“Marshals are urgently needed for your carnival procession to take place safely this year.
“If enough volunteers do not come forward, we may have to cancel for 2026.”
Marshals are needed on the day for a safety briefing at 5pm and then on the route from 6pm to about 10pm.
Duties involve crowd safety and manning road closures.
Anyone who can help is asked to email marshalls@wellingtoncarnival.co.uk
