Local accountancy business Evolution ABS Ltd which operates from offices in West Buckland was presented with the ‘Skills for Growth Award’ at the Somerset Business Awards’ ceremony on Friday 19 October at Taunton’s Wellsprings Leisure Centre.
Founded by Margaret Scarrott in 2009, Evolution ABS started life with a team of 7 and now has a team of 22 highly trained and qualified staff.
The company specialises in rural business throughout the South West offering accounting, taxation and business advisory and support services to a wide range of businesses and individuals.

This is the latest in an impressive number of awards which the company has won since its beginnings in Burnham-on-Sea 10 years ago.

Camelot Care Ltd which manages Camelot House and Lodge in Wellington was the runner-up in the ‘Albert Goodman Family Business Award’ and Office Reality Ltd which supplies office furniture and designs interiors from Chelston Business Park was joint runner up in the ‘Business of the Year’ category.
