Barely a year after Casey Blackmore opened her design studio near Wellington she has shot to the top of her profession by winning the regional final in the Wedding Stationery of the Year category.
She was presented with the award in a gala evening at Maunsel House, near Bridgwater and said she was “over the moon”.
Casey spent ten years with a top London design agency before moving back to the West Country to set up her own business, specialising in elaborate bespoke wedding invitation packages.
She chose the name Oyster & Pearl to suggest “the anticipation of opening something up and the excitement of discovering something extraordinary inside”.
Selected as regional winner through a combination of feedback from clients and the assessment of expert judges, Casey now goes through to the national final at London’s Café de Paris in January.
