Tom and Claire Brazier have launched a crowd-funding campaign to raise £7,000 from investors who want to see food served at the already successful Tonedale coffee shop the couple operate alongside their coffee-roasting business.
“We’re thinking tasty unique brunch-y style stuff. Think brekky brioche bacon burgers, avocado + feta on sourdough, Acai bowls and pastries. Deli platters and wine in the afternoon,” explained Claire Brazier.
“We’re open to other ideas and are also keen to collaborate with someone with a like-minded vision, with a foodie/business background.”
The money raised will go directly to installing a kitchen on site, increasing the number of covers (we’re aiming to seat 35) and a few other bits needed to get started- crockery, more signage, stock, till etc.
Tom and Claire moved their business to Tonedale Mill less than a year ago but the slightly-hard-to-find café has become a word-of-mouth success in Wellington. “Once we start doing food we can open on weekends too, something customers have said they’d like to see happen,” added Claire.
“Help us make Brazier Coffee Roastery a great place in Wellington to meet, drink, eat and socialise. We want this to be a place for the local community to gather and enjoy quality coffee and food. Support our independent business, and help bring the Tonedale Mill back to life!”
