The Emporium Somerset on Mantle Street, Wellington, is helping to raise funds for local dementia charity Reminiscence Learning during their special late night opening from 6pm until 8.30pm on Thursday, 1 November.
Cato Cooper, Co-owner of The Emporium Somerset, which includes more than 50 different shops across three floors selling thousands of home and gift items, said: “In October we held our first festive shopping evening and it was a huge success so we have decided to host another one and help our chosen Charity of the Year, Reminiscence Learning, at the same time.
“Representatives from the charity will be in attendance in our Mini Emporium on the top floor and they’ll be chatting to people about the work they do, including their community projects.
“We are thrilled to have the charity coming along as it is a great opportunity to raise awareness – and the team will be collecting on the night so any donations will be very gratefully received.”
Reminiscence Learning offers a wide range of community projects from music and memories with live performances from musicians to themed reminiscence, making use of their extensive library of props and memorabilia.
The Emporium’s shoppers can pick up Christmas gifts, greetings cards, wrap and more including trying on and purchasing pre-loved clothing and accessories from Designer Wear on the top floor with brands like Jasper Conran, Gucci and Joseph.
During the evening customers will also receive a free raffle ticket and be entered into a draw to win one of four £25 gift vouchers. Staff will be handing out raffle tickets at the till and will draw four winning tickets on the night. Each winner will be contacted the following day.
By entering the raffle people agree to have their photographs taken for social media purposes.
