Entries to have stalls at the annual eat:Wellington food festival on 7 September are now open
Bev and Sarah Milner-Simonds, organisers of eat:Festivals in Somerset, have announced that food and drink businesses that want to appear at any of the twelve eat:Festivals on their calendar should apply through their website eatfestivals.org/apply.
Priority will be given to businesses within 25 miles of each of the host towns and which demonstrate ‘high sustainability criteria’.
This year’s eat:Wellington will be the third food and drink festival in the town since the new organisers took over from alocal committee. Last year’s event attracted 80 producers and an estimated 23,000 visitors.
The festivals include entertainment for children, music and cookery and food use demonstrations and have won Bev and Sarah Milner-Simonds a host of awards.
The organisers are to launch the first vegan festival on Saturday 26 January in the Winter Gardens, Weston Super Mare.
