Wellington will be the first location in Somerset to have its own Flip Out centre when the company opens its trampoline park on Chelston Business Park in May.
Flip Out Somerset joins 11 centres already in action around the country with 7 more to open shortly.
Ashley Bancalari, 38, and Jeremy Appiah, 31, will be co-owners and general managers of the new park. Mr Bancalari said: “Flip Out is the number one trampoline centre in Europe, bringing families together daily to have fun and take part in exercise. We are local to Wellington and are pleased to be bringing this exciting business opportunity to the area.”
The centre will include equipment such as adult and child Parkour, adult and child trampolines, a ninja warrior assault court, Olympic trampolines with foam dive pools, battle beams, slam-dunk basketball and a dodgeball court.
Flip Out Somerset’s programme of activities includes mini-flippers’ sessions during school hours, after-dark club nights for those of 14 and above with smoke machines, light shows and super sound systems, Parkour clubs, competitions and classes, flip fit exercise classes and will cater for parties for both children and adults. Mini Ninja trainers will be on hand to encourage children from 4 to 14 to develop balance, coordination, agility and quick reactions rewarded with different coloured belts as they develop skills.
Flip Out began in Sydney in 2012 when CEO Brent Grundy was sitting in a children’s play centre watching his son at a friend’s birthday party. He noticed that many of the kids were too big to enjoy the facilities and were forced to sit out on much of the fun. At that moment, he made it his mission to create a play environment that would not only entertain children of all ages but also mum, dad, and even grandma and grandpa and Flip Out was born.
