The FoS Brothers visit Wellington Arts Centre on Saturday, March 10. The band are Dave and Sam McCrory from East Belfast joined with Rom Dobbs and Pete Bingham on drum and bass. Together they create a unique soundscape of acoustic music heavily influenced by their Irish roots. They have been performing for over 25 years at Festivals, Arts Centres and venues in the UK and abroad.
This was their review from a recent Exeter gig: “Their intriguing set list was also something a bit special, including their own self-penned material, Irish folk songs and classics by rock legends such as Tom Waits. Some of the numbers were deeply atmospheric, conjuring up dark country roads and moonlit nights, while others were laid-back pub singalongs.
There was also plenty of friendly banter with the audience, in contrast to the melodic sensitivity of some of their songs.”March 2017 saw the release of their new CD ‘Clear Again’ featuring many guest musicians who have worked with the band over the years (Sarah Jory, Ted Duggan, Leon Hunt and Jon strong) The CD was mastered by Simon Heyworth who is noted as co-producer of Mike Oldfield’s Tubular Bells. and many King Crimson Albums.
