I have lived in Wellington and Rockwell Green for most of my life, writes Kieran Canham, the Labour candidate for Thursday’s by-lection to the town council. I currently live at Westford Grange with my partner, son and two step-children. I work at Somerset County Council for the education department. Education is a passion of mine and I am also on the board of Governors at Rockwell Green Primary School.
The reason why I am standing is because I want to give something back to the town that gave me so much growing up. I am a real believer in local democracy and local people shaping the future of their towns I hope that If elected I can make a positive contribution to the future of Wellington and Rockwell Green, and ensure the people of Rockwell Green’s voice is heard and that their interests are represented at all times.
I am passionate about public service and would love the opportunity to represent Rockwell Green.
