Wellington estate agent and musician Nick Girone-Maddocks and his colleagues at Gibbins Richards have trumped the usual cheesy corporate Christmas card to customers with an inspiring music video raising funds to ease the pain of homelessness.
You’re Just What I Needed today is written by Nick and sung by the whole tea, with £1 donated to ArcInspire, the homeless charity for Taunton. every time it’s shared on social media.
“We wanted to do something musical that was helpful and an alternative to the usual Christmas songs you hear in every supermarket,” said Nick. “We’ve got some great voices in the team and it was huge fun to record and make the video.”

“Songwriters! Never throw a lyric away, says Nick. ”On a cold December day in 1998 I was walking through London and observed many homeless folk in subways and doorways. I thought of the homeless charities and the work they do, especially at Christmas.
“I started singing a little ditty in my head to the beat of my footsteps, and by the time I’d reached where I was going I had a complete song. After being left untouched in my songbook for 20 years, it could prove to be one of the best I’ve ever written.
“Songs come from strange places sometimes, but once they’re with you, they’re with you forever.
