If you knew Emma Thornett as a Wiveliscombe schoolgirl, you can now see her on the big screen.
Emma is in the cast of the smash-hit play War Horse, coming straight from the National Theatre to the Wellesey cinema on Thursday, Feb 27th.
Emma said: “We’ll do the show as normal, but the theatre will be adapted to accommodate the cameras and digital team who will edit it live and beam it straight out to 700 cinemas across the world. When you say it like that it’s really scary!”
Emma’s role involves “mastering” Joey the foal and she also performs as French civilian Paulette, plus acts as understudy for Rose, Albert’s mother.
Before beginning her acting career almost 20 years ago Emma,36, went to both primary and secondary school in Wiveliscombe and then to Richard Huish College for her A-levels.
