A few drops of rain failed to deter hundreds of people of all ages from heading for Wellington Rugby Club’s annual Fireworks Display tonight – Thursday, 5th November.
There was a huge bonfire, the bar and club house were open, outside stalls sold food and drink and the stand and two sides of the pitch were packed. Cordons prevented access to the other two sides where the firework display was sited.
This was a night for families with young children, for young people and for groups of friends.
The firework dispay was, as always, stunningly visual for all those inside the ground and many more watching in the streets, on the garden walls and from the houses nearby.
