Milverton’s annual May Day street fair is celebrating its 25th anniversary on Monday. With a great weather forecast and scores of stalls booked in, it should be a great day out for the whole family.
Here’s what organisers Wiveliscombe & District Rotary Club have to say:
“Come along and help us celebrate the fair’s 25th anniversary.
“Rotary is proud to have provided man-power assistance in the organisation of the event over the last 12 years. This year will be the third year with Rotary as the principal organiser.
“Once again there will be over 100 stalls selling products ranging from plants to hand crafted artefacts, jewellery and jams. The Food Fair will again be selling local cheeses and bread, and Rotary will have its BBQ selling Mike Thorne’s burgers and sausages. No horsemeat here!
The Save Milverton Action Group will also this year for the first time have a hot chilli stall.
“As usual there will be a Bouncy Castle for the children together with the appearance of the
West Somerset Morris Dancers and the Skin Tight Samba Band. The Milverton Concert Society will have their piano and there will be a licensed bar, tea rooms and other refreshments on sale all day.”
