Wellington Bowling Club’s ladies and men have recorded a pair of victories.
The ladies drove to Minehead seeking revenge for their recent Fear Plate defeat and this time they came away triumphant after a competitive battle.
Debbie Lane, Diana Dagg and Chrissie Willcocks were the team in form on the day winning in style, 22-14.
The other two Wellington teams both lost but not by a big margin so the overall result was Wellington 47, Minehead 45.
In a Mixed Triples match at home against Hemyock, Steve Lovell, Monica Carter and Ian Hollingsworth won convincingly by 24 shots, 36-12.
Jacqueline Finney, Alan Moore and Alan Every came out on top in a close game 15-14 while Tony Gibson’s trio managed a 15-all draw.
Hemyock won on the last rink 20 shots to 12 but the overall victory was Wellington’s, 78-61.
