Concert marks 300th birthday

A commemorative concert on Sunday 22 May to mark the founding of The Royal Engineers 300 years ago in 1716 is set to both entertain and raise money for four important charities, both military and civil: the Royal Engineers’ Benevolent Fund, SSAFA (Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen Families Association), VIA (Veterans in Action) and Breast Cancer Care.

The Taunton branch of the Royal Engineers Association has complied a programme featuring Wellington Silver Band, The Taunton Military Wives’ Choir, The Rivertones Harmony Chorus and Clive Sanders, the Somerset Military Poet.

The concert is on the Sunday 22nd May at St. Johns Church, Wellington, at 6pm.
