St John’s Parish Church is looking forward to its garden-themed Coffee Morning today (Saturday) from 10am.
The church says: “Many green fingered members of the congregation will be selling perennials and annuals plants as well as other garden paraphernalia.
“As usual, there will be refreshments available, a raffle and the popular cake stall. There will be lemon, fruit and carrot cakes, sponges, shortbread, quiches, apple pies and tiffin as well as homemade jams – come early to avoid disappointment!
“Two independent stall holders will also be present which always offers something different for everyone.
“This will be the last coffee morning, until September. However, the church will be holding a patronal festival on Saturday, June 27th, to honour the patron saint of St John.
“The forecast looks to be sunny so come along and enjoy some coffee and homemade cake, have a chat and pick up some bargains.”
