Court Fields School is calling on the community to show its support for plans to add a £900,000 3G sports pitch to its facilities.
The Headteacher, Mrs Polly Matthews, has penned the following open letter …
“I wonder if you could help. As you may know, we are hoping to install a 3G pitch at Court Fields, for use during the school day, for sports tournaments and festivals, for lettings, training and community events.
“As you will be aware, there is no such facility in the Wellington area and it will significantly enhance its recreational and sports facilities.
“We have received a lot of anecdotal support but really need emails or letters of support for the 3G pitch planning application and I hoped you could mobilise some people or help yourself.
“If you could, please could you get anyone from businesses, sports clubs, school and community groups etc to help?
“They can be sent to us ‘to whom it may concern’ and we can pass them on.
“Any help would be much appreciated!”
