Staff and pupils of St John’s C of E Primary School have just celebrated their Harvest Festival – the first church service of the school year – with the unveiling of their new school banner.
Head Boy Ethan Whale and Head Girl Ula Malinowska led the school into the church with the new banner which was made and designed using batik. It represents the tree of life and St John’s surroundings in Wellington with a cross as the central image.
The new banner replaces one which was designed over 30 years ago. A spokesperson from the school said, “This is the design for our school today.”
