Well done to Wellington School student Alana, whose passion for animals and conservation has led to some very special work outside the classroom.
The school reports: “Alana is a member of the Young Vets Club, part of the Worldwide Veterinary Service, and over the summer she independently entered a competition to design a bandana logo for vets working with WVS in Malawi and Cambodia.
“She has recently found out that her design had been chosen as one of just four winners.
“Alana currently hopes to become a wildlife vet in Africa one day, and she has already started putting that passion into action.
”Over the summer, she also raised £100 for rabies vaccinations for dogs in Asia through the Worldwide Veterinary Service.
“It’s wonderful to see a pupil taking something she cares deeply about and turning it into meaningful action, reflecting so much of the thinking behind our Changemakers course.”
