A town centre business has expanded with the launch of a second shop in High Street.
Jacqui Isaac (pictured above) opened Men’s Threads and Treads last Wednesday.
Prior to opening a shop in Wellington in April 2024, she was a psychiatric nurse.
However, injuries she sustained in a serious car accident left her unable to return to nursing.
Her friend Sarah was with Jacqui in the accident and the pair decided to open Essentials Express, selling women’s clothing, at 14 High Street.
The business expanded to bigger premises in March last year – moving up the road to the former Wellington Locksmiths shop at 28 High Street.
Jacqui said: “We noticed there was a need for men’s clothing and decided to open the back of the shop.
“But the space was very limited and many customers told us there was a great need for a men’s clothing shop.
“That’s when we decided to open Men’s Threads & Treads and customers are saying that a shop just for men in Wellington is great.”
The new shop is in the original location at 14 High Street while Essentials Express remains at 28 High Street.
