The award-winning Flavours Restaurant in the High Street reopens this week after an unexpected 6 week closure. The many customers who were unable to sample the menu after Trip Advisor awarded it a Certificate of Excellence can make bookings now that the owner, Herman Topuzoglu, is back in the kitchen once again.
To celebrate the restaurant’s reopening he is putting on a ‘Turkish Delight’ on Saturday 19th September with a special 3 course menu of Turkish specialities and a belly dancer to provide live entertainment.
The closure of the restaurant – due to the sudden illness of Herman’s father in Istabul – came at an unfortunate time. Herman said, “After the publicity surrounding our Certificate of Excellence award from Trip Advisor we found ourselves having to turn customers away. Then we had to shut the restaurant for six weeks while I went back to help look after my father who has now made a reasonably good recovery. We’d like to thank everyone for their understanding and kind wishes during this difficult time.”
