Pupils from Beech Grove Primary School’s Gardening Club visited Linden House Nursing Home, Wellington, on Monday 25th June.
They exchanged a model gorilla for a new model – a rhino named Harmony.
Assisted by Linden House’s own gardener and the Leader of the school’s club, Mr Woolmer, the children helped to repot plants, visited the fruit patch and refilled the bird feeders.
The current high temperatures meant that Beech Grove’s planned Sports Day on Thursday 28th June had to be postponed. Sports Day will now take place on Thursday 12th July.
