Wellington School’s Sixth Formers are again celebrating their superb personal achievements in the A Level, BTEC and EPQ results today (Thursday).
The school says: “Our personalised focus on academic excellence for each individual has led to 11 students securing A*s or As in all of their A Level subjects and a third of grades awarded being A* and A grade or BTEC distinctions.
“Four BTEC students achieved all Distinction* and Distinction grades, while our Extended Project Qualification (EPQ) results were also outstanding again, with almost three-quarters of all grades at A* and 100% of grades A*- B.
“96% of our students have secured the grades required for their firm or insurance university offers over the last three years which for an ambitious community is a statistic to be incredibly proud of.
“Students have continued to open doors to an incredible range of opportunities, from Medicine, Veterinary Science, Law, Engineering, Economics and Management, to History, Global Development, Marine Biology, Agriculture, Fashion, Interior Design, Music, Dance, Drama, Journalism, Sport Science, degree apprenticeships, military careers and direct employment.
“Our students are embarking on truly remarkable journeys that have been inspired and supported by their time at Wellington.”
Head at Wellington, Dr Alex Battison, added: “These results are testament to the outstanding support and challenge here at Wellington, that enable young people to thrive as their unique selves and achieve their personal bests.
“The way our students, staff and parents have worked together to achieve these outcomes is what we must continue to champion and what makes this community so special.
