Kingsmead School, Wiveliscombe, has celebrated students achieving their Arts Awards run by Trinity College London. They were presented with their certificates by local artist Tess Armitage who works closely with the school sharing her expertise and who spent time recently with students developing Somerset landscape paintings.
Head of Art Jeanette Crawford said “The Arts Award enables students to be independent creative thinkers and explore a wide range of disciplines in their folders of work from painting to card tricks, weaving to sculpture.”
The moderator from Trinity College praised the quality of the folders and work presented by students and appreciated the excellent support from staff members who mentor students during the scheme.
